Who loves watching a biographical film? Well, I do. Hollywood brings biopic films to our screens each year and it is always amazing. Most famous stars have had their biopic and new ones still come up each day. This year, we have had that of Elton John, titled ‘Rocketman,' and a host of others, but some people do not appreciate their biopic and there are a lot of reasons for. While we wait on new biopics, let us take a good look at the past ones that were slightly not appreciated by the stars themselves or their families. This list will leave you in awe!
1. Aaliyah: Princess Of R&B
After her sudden death on August 25, 2001, Hollywood made it a point of duty to honor her with a biopic. However, her family disregarded this idea, saying that the singer's life story and history were too big for TV screens. Her fans were so happy that something of that sort was going to happen on her behalf, but her family would not have it and this made everyone very sad. Aaliyah's uncle and former manager, known as Barry Hankerson noted that Hollywood was out to get profit alone and there was nothing that depicted honor, going against the singer's family. Zendaya was to take a major role in the film, but because of the commotions, she dropped out.
